Risk Managment:
Background checks are required once per soccer year beginning in the fall, Choose Terrell Soccer as one of your affiliates. In the note section, put your position (Head Coach, Asst Coach, Manager, Team Volunteer etc.), the team name, and name of child for whom you will be coaching. You will need to login to your coach account once it has been set up by the registrar. You may request your login from the registrar 1 week after draft has been held.
Terrell Soccer Association would like to THANK YOU for your time and energy to developing Terrell's youths in the game of soccer. We are pleased you have volunteered and agreed to coach a youth team.
Coaching young children is a challenge in patience and understanding and in creating an atmosphere on the practice field, which is conducive to learning. Young children (U6-U8) are really more concerend about having fun and being in a happy environment than the are in learning how to become good soccer players.
It would be helpful to attend coaching courses and attend as many clinics as possible. Watch the highest level of soccer available in your area and on TV. Read coaching books, study videos. All these activites will help add to your soccer knowledge and effectiveness as a coach.
